Privacy policy

Audoc does not require an account.

Audoc does not contain advertising or cross-app tracking. Android's bundled Google ML Kit performs SDK diagnostics and usage analytics as described below.

Your imported library and generated results are stored in the app's private storage and excluded from cloud device backups.

Cloud AI is optional and disabled separately for each document until you enable it.

Audoc's developer does not operate a document-processing server.

Audoc processes files you choose to import, including document text, tables, images, charts, diagrams, filenames, and generated listening scripts. It may also create language detections, visual descriptions, translations, playback position, processing checkpoints, and model-selection preferences.

This information normally remains in Audoc's private app container. Android backup is disabled. On iOS, document data is excluded from backup and uses platform file protection. Downloaded local AI and voice models are also stored privately and can be removed in the app.

API keys that you enter are encrypted using Android Keystore or stored as device-only Keychain items on iOS. The keys are not included in device backups. You can remove them from Audoc's AI settings.

For each document, cloud processing is off until you explicitly enable it. If you enable cloud processing and select Google Gemini or OpenAI, Audoc sends the bounded text batch or visual currently being processed, the instructions needed for that operation, and your API credential directly from your device to the selected provider. This is required to return a translation or visual description.

Audoc requests non-storage where the provider API supports it, but the provider may independently process or retain information for security, abuse prevention, billing, or legal reasons. Your provider account, contract, region, and settings govern that processing. Do not enable cloud processing for confidential material unless your provider agreement permits it.

When you download an optional model or voice, the hosting service receives ordinary network information such as your IP address, request time, user agent, and requested file. Model files currently come from Hugging Face or GitHub release hosting. Audoc verifies pinned file sizes and SHA-256 checksums before installation.

Audoc's developer does not receive your documents, listening scripts, translations, API keys, playback history, or model prompts through the app and does not operate an analytics or crash-reporting service. If you contact support, the developer receives the information you choose to provide in that communication. Do not attach a confidential document unless support specifically asks for a safe, redacted sample.

Android uses bundled Google ML Kit for on-device language identification and image labeling. Google collects SDK diagnostics and usage analytics, including device/app details, per-installation identifiers, performance and error information, feature events and configuration, input/output sizes, and identified languages. This can occur with local document processing even when cloud AI is disabled. Audoc currently provides no separate opt-out for this SDK collection.

These diagnostics are distinct from sending document text or images to cloud AI. Google's disclosure does not list document text or image contents as collected by these bundled features. Google encrypts the diagnostic data in transit and states that ML Kit does not transfer it to third parties. Google's retention and deletion practices apply; deleting Audoc's local files does not request deletion of data already received by Google. The iOS app does not use these ML Kit SDKs.

Local information remains until you remove it, delete the corresponding document, clear the app's data, or uninstall Audoc. Deleting a document removes Audoc's imported source copy, parsed script, and saved translation checkpoints. Removing a model, voice, or API key deletes that item from Audoc's storage. Provider-side retention is controlled by the provider rather than Audoc.

Audoc uses encrypted transport for downloads and cloud API calls, app-private storage, backup exclusions, integrity checks for downloadable model packs, and platform credential stores. No security control can guarantee absolute protection. Keep your device updated and locked, and use restricted API keys with billing limits.

Audoc is a general productivity application and is not directed to children under 13. The app does not knowingly collect children's personal information through a developer-operated service.

Cloud providers and Android SDK diagnostics providers may process information in countries where they or their subprocessors operate. Review the applicable provider policies and, for optional cloud AI, your account and organization terms.

Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date and the policy linked from the store listing.
